Taken during THE festival called Euskal Jaiak (Basque Festival) in San Sebastian, Spain. This huge, bizarre-looking mascot, together with other giants, roam around the streets of Old Town and hit the bums of children and youngsters with sausage skin-balloon which emits the foulest odor ever. We saw little children running around, shouting for help, when these giants chase after them. Unaware of the stint they had, Cathy and I got nearer to take a picture. But much to our surprise, they potently struck Cathy with the balloon! We got so scared that we hid behind Tim. All of them got hit except me. But we realized later on that getting hit is a lucky charm — too bad I chickened out. Two days after in Madrid, Cathy and Tim had their dollars changed to euros in an exchange bureau. The officer-in-charge must be sleepy, and she accidentally gave 100 euros MORE to both of them. GAAAH.
A sociocultural examination of the world. Or maybe it's just a traditional blog where I can record travel experiences because it would be shame to forget them.
