Taken at LeClerc Cafeteria, Pau during our very first dinner in France.
Is the steak hache avec frites good? If you ask me, not so much. I had this meal for three times already and I have never appreciated LeClerc’s way of cooking this steak. The first time I had it was disgusting because they served it rare to us — and I don’t think the red parts of the meat were appetizing. One of the first few things I did when we got home was search for the French translation of well-done: it’s bien cuit.
When I said “Un steak hache, bien cuit sil vous plait,” (One steak hache, well-done please) to the cafeteria staff, they literally BURNED the steak. Third time, was hopeless because it was a combination of the previous two experiences. Go figure.
Will not order LeClerc’s steak hache again. Ever.

A sociocultural examination of the world. Or maybe it's just a traditional blog where I can record travel experiences because it would be shame to forget them.
