The meals I cooked in Pau.
Looks pangit but delicious (‘Coz I’m the cook. I kid.) But seriously, meals play an important role to my life as a temporary local in the French province. I opted not to cook Filipino food like adobo, kare-kare, tinolang manok, etc. because 1) meat is expensive; 2) takes me 1-2 hours to marinate; 3) tamad; 4) soak in the trying-hard European cuisine.
I’ve discovered my love for cooking and eating pasta, and how I wish I could do this in Manila (quite impossible with the no-cooking policy here in MyPlace).
Corned beef is not European, but American/Australian in orientation yet this leaves me salivating for more once I sautee it with garlic, onion, wine vinegar, black pepper and mushrooms. Tres delicioso! <3
Lays is just a staple to our daily lives. Can’t live without it.
A sociocultural examination of the world. Or maybe it's just a traditional blog where I can record travel experiences because it would be shame to forget them.
