Lourdes, France.
Europe’s premiere religious shrine is located 30 minutes away from Pau. Millions of tourists flock to Lourdes, as it is known where Mother Mary had 17 apparitions to a young girl named Bernadette in the 1900s. Mother Mary appeared to St. Bernadette in the cave, so the French built a Disneyland-esque church from that cave! It was so huge and beautiful, and one has to go to Lourdes with the intent to purify themselves because the place allows you to do so.
